Karen Love Cooler- Painter/Sculptor/Print Maker
Karen Love Cooler is a Philadelphia artist. She creates art using paint, print making, sculpture and mixed media, based on her interest in Nature, Ancient Wisdom and Travel. She trained as a teacher and earned a graduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Writing and presenting art tours at the Philadelphia Museum of Art has influenced her art. She earned a Certificate from The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 1996. This is a rigorous four year studio course. During this time, she had a Residency at the Vermont Studio Center. Karen is a founding artist of MCGOPA, The Montgomery County Guild of Professional Artists, where she has been President, Publicity Vice President and the Gallery Director.

She has exhibited with MCGOPA and in many regional, juried exhibitions. Her awards include: “The Roy Lance Lauffer Award”, The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts; “The Barbara Secker Corson Award”, 55th Annual Painting Exposition, Cheltenham Art Center, John Ravenal, Juror; “Honorable Mention Award”, Tri-States Artist Equity, Connelly Gallery, Villanova University. She has been awarded a Juror’s Award in many MCGOPA Exhibitions; Some of the Jurors were – Frank Hyder, Tony Rosati, Patty Castner, and Ron Wyflls. Karen is a Professional Artist Member of the Main Line Art Center in Haverford, Pennsylvania.

Karen’s art is in the Print Library Collection at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts as well as private collections throughout the United States and in Israel and Florence, Italy. She accepts select commissions.
